out to the pentagon for comment but have not heard back yet. nick robertson is following developments in london. is this the same drone that the united states said was returned to the united states? >> it looks like the same one. the iranians say it was flying 140 miles into their airspace off their northeastern corner, close to the border with afghanistan. the iranians are saying this aircraft was flying from the kandahar airfield base inside afghanistan, and some of the footage, and i looked at it, some of it could be kandahar air base but there's no guarantee this video came from the aircraft in question here. did they get this video from somewhere els? it's not clear. there's no way to verify at the moment what the iranians are saying. the spokesman that the iranians are putting forward says that the aircraft was sent to california several times in 2010 for repair and used for operations inside pakistan. >> translator: this aircraft has had many flights in countries around iran, operations that have taken place in pakistan. this aircraft provided guidance. >> again, no indications

in alabama where a kidnapped 5-year-old boy was held for nearly a week. plus the changes the pentagon could soon be making to its benefits policy for same-sex couples an earthquake in the south pacific triggered a tsunami that killed five people today. the eight -point -0 magnitude quake struck off the solomon islands. four elderly people and one child died when strong waves triggered by the quake hit an eastern region known as the santa cruz islands. damage is still being assessed but the tsunami appears to have caused some damage and disruption at the local airport and nearby villages. a tsunami warning issued for several other countries was later canceled. the f-b-i has released new photos of the bunker where a five-year-old boy from alabama was held hostage for six days. authorities found two homemade bombs yesterday in the bunker where jimmy lee dykes was keeping the boy hostage and continue to search for more today. one was in the underground bunker, the other was in a p-v- c pipe that the hostage taker used to communicate with police. dykes was killed in a raid on the bunker monday.

you very much. nice to be here. we're going to start with the entire fleet of the pentagon's f-35 fighter jets which is grounded this morning after a cracked engine blade was discovered on the air force version of the jet during a routine inspection. the pentagon immediately grounded all f-35s even though the navy and marine corps use different versions. the engine is being sent to the manufacturer to figure out how that happened. if you have an f-35, don't fly it today. sort of wait. >>> boeing is hoping to get its 787 dreamliners flying as soon as possible. the company's executives met on friday with the faa to talk about the ongoing battery issues that grounded that 787 dreamliner fleet in the first place. boeing is proposing a fix for the batteries even though they still don't know what caused them to overheat. the faa says it is reviewing the proposal very closely. >>> so you can now add microsoft to the list of companies that says it's been hacked. a small u.n. of computers were infected -- small number of computers were intected with malware. it's similar to the ones that p
